I feel like they would latch on to the malevolent aliens that have killed people or the fact that our adversaries like China may have alien tech that could be so destabilizing it ends results in a bad ending for America. You know how they spin anything to promote the defense industry.
While the Daily Star is a British tabloid paper and not a serious investigative site like NYT or BBC, they are the first to report on Grusch’s interview. I think his revelation about the Vatican’s role in UAPs will be picked up on.
The article is something anyway, let’s hope more pick up on this story like they did last week.
Yeah, i’m italian and probably for me the only thing that some of the vatican’s peapole know is that is a thing, but they don’t want being involved in keeping real secrets.

A few years back the chief astronomer (also a priest) of the Vatican observatory ( https://www.vaticanobservatory.va/en/ ) had no problem in publicly expressing belief in the possibility of aliens, In 2014 the Vatican astronomers participated in the “Search for Life Beyond the Solar System: Exoplanets, Biosignatures & Instruments” conference in Tucson, AZ. As noted on the Vatican Observatory site the conference’s purpose was to bring «an interdisciplinary community to examine the interface of exoplanet observations, early and extreme forms of life on Earth, atmospheric biomarkers, and planet-finding telescopes». The Church also has no problem with the concept of evolution — as a God directed process.
Lets see of the church will lie if asked about this, would not be a good look.
Let’s hope the media doesn’t spin this story to make Grusch sound like some crazy guy who can be laughed off.
