I’m grew up like 30 min from Stephenville in a little town called glen rose. I was in 8th grade when this happened so I can remember it pretty vividly. It was kind of a big deal because there is a nuclear power plant in Glen Rose and I’m pretty sure that’s why the F-16s were scrambled so fast. The objects were probably getting close to restricted airspace

To me this is one of the premier sightings, I’m actually surprised there are people who have not heard of it. Seen by many residents, the Air Force denied having fighters over the town, and then later said it was a communication error, and they did have jets, but they never admitted to chasing UFOs.
One rancher who is hardly a UFO buff saw a giant UFO over his head, it was so large, it filled his vision looking up from end to end, he couldn’t see the sky. He was visited later by the military and harassed repeatedly.

Radar footage of a chase between two fighter jets and a mile-wide fleet of 1,900mph UFOs is being studied by defence chiefs.
Up to 300 locals reported witnessing the astonishing hot pursuit’ of up to 12 mystery craft flying in unison in the skies over the US state of Texas 15 years ago.
UFO investigators used Freedom Of Information laws to obtain radar footage from the night of the sighting — January 8 2008.
They found the UFOs appeared on radar pursued by the jets.
That footage is among 510 close encounters between military personnel and unidentified craft currently being probed by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office on behalf of the the US Defence Department.

My dad worked radar for NEADS for years and when I asked him about UFOs all he told me was that you get things flying into our airspace going 1500-2000 mph and just completely stop all the time. Even after retirement it’s pretty hard to get him to talk unfortunately.

If there were 12 F-16s deployed, it makes me suspect there’s more going on here, and it ain’t UFOs. There aren’t actually that many planes and pilots at the ready to perform intercepts at any given time across North America. To get that many in the air simultaneously sounds more like an exercise of some kind.
