I’m thinking there must be some truth to the very common descriptions of the classic ”Greys”. So I am very much expecting at least some alien creatures to actually look like that.

More likely than not, there are multiple species. So a range.

I hope they have big butts

Which planet, and which region of the planet?

People look different physically who are from different regions, why shouldn’t it be the same for aliens?

They look like orbs and discs.

No saggy skin.

The «gray» color is actually a type of covering, a film that protects them. It is tight and form-fitting, possibly even sprayed on. Their skin is an almost translucent, milky white.

The solid black eyes are a type of covering as well- like giant contact lenses. Underneath is a more traditional looking, albeit much larger than ours, eye.

I think **Close Encounters of the Third Kind** got it the closest, with the small drone aliens at the end that come from the mothership.

Well, red dwarf stars make up about 3/4 of the stars in our galaxy, so chances are they would come from a planet orbiting a red dwarf. Those stars give off less energy than our star does, so the habitable zone is closer to the star and the amount of light is much lower. There is such low light that vegetation would appear black, not green. Also, the distance of the habitable zone makes it likely that the planet would be tidally locked, with one side facing the sun all the time and one side being in perpetual darkness.

So one characteristic that is very likely is that these aliens would develop in extremely low light. That means huge eyes or echo-location. The low light also suggests that they would have very light colored skin. The low energy of red dwarfs makes marine life unlikely, they would be land creatures with arms and legs. Sounds a lot like they classic “greys” honestly.

I’m not sure, but my wife probably hopes they look like henry cavil.

My mom drew me one she said she saw (with her sisters) when she was young. she told me this story way before we even had internet at home, and at that time in our country, aliens aren’t a topic:

4 feet tall, big black warp-around eyes (she compares it to dragonfly eyes), just small holes as nose, small thin mouth with no lips, she did not notice any ears, grayish green dry frog skin with some patches of visible veins, humped back, slim but muscly physique, small feet.

But my guess is there may be a lot of races that have visited us.

The one I saw 3 years ago looked like this but the face wasn’t so elongated. It’s hard finding a picture that best represents what I saw. The skin was like a grey with a slight greenish metallic hue. Eye’s as black as a black hole.
