I asked this on another thread, but the thread seems more active so I might get more replies here. To spare myself any accusations, I’ll say up front that I believe Grusch…
Ross made a point that I couldn’t quite make sense of: He says that the DoD gave Grusch permission to do the NewsNation interview because they knew he’d already spilled everything to the Senate. I don’t get why that would result in them allowing him to speak publicly. I mean, surely the ultimate goal is to keep this from the general public.
If none of us had ever heard from Grusch, and he spoke only to the Senate, tell me which Senator would be willing to go public with any of this? It would be career suicide. Basically, the reasons Ross gave for the DoD allowing Grusch to speak don’t make sense, or am I missing something else?

I’m glad Ross addressed this because it was what I found most interesting from the hearing. I did understand that the names and locations are classified and couldn’t be discussed publicly but (I thought) only in a secure information facility or whatever they’re calling it. I did understand as well, that Grusch has told The Intelligence Community Inspector General of everything he knows — which is what led to this congressional hearing as I understand it since this inspector found his claims to be ‘credible and urgent’. Quite amazing by itself.
My point about the names and locations though, is that it’s now up to those congress members — especially the ones who have been pushing for this hearing and also in my eyes the most high profile congressperson there who also asked one of the most pertinent questions (I’m talking about Alexandria Cortez) — to follow up on that information, or get Grusch into a secure facility so he can do it legally if that is the hold up. The issue simply cannot be allowed to hit a dead end when we know those congress people are on the cusp of knowing the names and locations — and that this was all televised live to the world. They need to admit whether they know yet or they don’t. Then they need to tell us what they found. It’s the part of the hearing that now means those receiving that information have to be held to account. They MUST be pressured to say in the near future what they did after hearing that he can tell them how to investigate this. Once they speak up on that, there really won’t be any escape from the truth — whatever it is.
Americans (and all people) must pressure these politicians. I get it that there is apathy and disillusionment in the world and that most people are more concerned with inflation and war and the constantly growing gap between rich and poor. But this issue as I see it directly ties in to this situation we’re in. Technology may be there to level the playing field. I remember that David Grusch said he felt this way, too.
So it’s done, disclosure managed. Now we just sit back and wait.
