Even if literally nothing comes out of this whole thing, which all signs point to not being the case, the public now sees how things are handled in the govt… These people should have whistleblower protections, many, many, many high ranking officials in govt offices do NOT follow ethics laws and do things that are morally questionable by using people’s jobs as leverage to get their way.
Are there any emails or voicemails to back this up? It might be wise to collect such evidence.

WHAT IF……some years ago we did get some crashed UFO and the DOD gave it to some contractor to research. Now they have been working on this for years, decades, and the DOD keeps changing handlers and the guys now » in charge» know nothing. And the contractor is not being responsive to requests.
In short, what if no one in the government really knows? What if they have lost the thread? What if the contractor is going rogue? OR, the project is buried in some small department of a subsidiary they just sold to Brazil? Or maybe they did 10 years ago?
You can hypothesize almost anything. But the above scary scenario kinda fits what we observe. Wide sweeping, fast track legislation, bipartisan support.
