The proposed 11 dimensions are not related to parallel universes or other types of reality. If the entities can perceive and operate in more dimensions than us, it is still the same reality, and they are extradimensional, not interdimensional. We would be like Flatland to them. Spacetime as we perceive it, would be like a sheet of paper to them: they could «fold» it at will and instantly reach any point in it.
Parallel universes with copies of us (as in Everett’s interpretation of quantum physics) cannot be ruled out, but calling them «interdimensional» is not optimal.
It is conceivable that there exist other types of reality, which you can even reach through altered states of consciousness. Check Robert Monroe’s books.
To understand why spacetime and matter are not fundamental, watch YouTube videos with Professor Donald Hoffman or Bernardo Kastrup. Once you understand that, you realize that the wider reality may be much more «woo» than metaphysical materialism tells us. Metaphysical materialism just doesn’t make sense.

String theory is almost entirely a bust with zero progress or empirical evidence. The cited 11 dimensions are purely mathematical contructs, nobody ever intended that they actually physically exist. All of the above is nothing more than the same woo spew that used to use «quantum» as vague scientific sounding justification for its nonsense.
And that’s what the above «interpretation» is… nonsense.

The interdimensional theory is ridiculous. There is no need for it. There is no evidence for it.
We know extrasolar planets exist within habitable zones, and have all the necessary building blocks of life. Extraterrestrial is the most reasonable explanation. There’s absolutely no need to just claim that they’re «interdimensional» with literally 0 evidence.
Michio Kaku might believe in Multiverse theory as a solution to some ideas regarding QM, but I don’t think he believes we’ve had interdimensional visitors.
