Free energy technology may create new jobs but the implications of such energy technologies actually means that many jobs will become obsolete or meaningless.
This is because our resource production and output is tied to our energy production. If we have infinite free energy, we can easily mass produce goods so people no longer even need to work, combined with infinite energy AI robots to assist us.

Thanks for this OP, this has always been my stance — the suppressed tech and energy sources could literally offer humans a chance to step into the golden age. It could be that this tech exists — and we can use it — but is not scalable due to a shortage of base materials and not knowing the physic theory required to engineer that stuff up from scratch.
