A better, non dramatic, petiton would have been «We request the UK Government look into claims of ‘Non-Human Intelligence’ as alluded to by David Grusch and his whistleblowing to the US Congress»

Like why would any government get embroiled in commenting on something like this. I’m sure the UK government, French, German, Swedish etc all have «consultants» that work in merky areas regarding UAPS/NHI.
Our government are currently tied up in knots trying to remember whether or not they attended parties that they may or may not have declared illegal at the time. But in their case it’s ok because of reasons.
You’re asking them to consider enormous, cosmic world changing subjects when they can’t think beyond their own careers. I wish we had politicians with the credibility and intellect to consider these concepts but frankly I’d be more horrified if someone had let this bunch of incompetents in on the secret.

There’s not much point to it. Uk historically denies all involvement and says the desk was shut down years ago. Official Secrets act shits all over the US classification system. Reach is insane
This likely isn’t US only, it is probably a joint operation with allies, especially Five Eyes. Not sure about the credibility but I believe it was Rich Hall (I think it’s Rich Planet is his show) had contact with someone who alleged to be part of a crash retrieval program in the UK and had some leads that led to man in wales? This is from memory but it was an interesting series of videos, he certainly believed it.

Forgive me if I sound dismissive, but I can’t foresee any ally of the US disclosing any information they have on US classified intel, or even if not relating to US intel (although you specifically referred to Grusch), there are almost certainly agreements in place against revealing information that allies would consider sensitive.
I expect the same for the US; they won’t do official disclosure unless/until all allies agree it’s okay to let the cat out of the bag.
