The article does not suggest there are invisible aliens on earth «out of phase» with us. It suggests there may be hidden biospheres populated by life from some lineage other than our own. (All earth organisms are basically one thing going back 4 billion years.)

These «shadow biospheres» would be eg deep underground, in remote corners of the ocean, or in [closed caves](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movile_Cave).

Man the comments did NOT read the article. It’s not talking about the horror trope of «beings on different frequencies» (I don’t even think that’s plausible within our understanding of how electromagnetic frequencies work, correct me if I’m wrong), they’re talking about the shadow biosphere, the idea that there could be undetected forms of life here wildly different biochemically from anything we know. This hypothesis usually suggests such life is microscopic, as anything larger would probably be impossible to ignore.

I think that’s where the got concept for the movie «They Live». Until one person figured out how to «see them» with special sunglasses. 😑

There’s already something like this in the Quran. They’re called the djinn.

Edit: Further explanation, they are described to be an intelligent species living in the same physical space as us but on a different plane of existence. Some humans are known to find ways to communicate with them and use them to gather intelligence, and vice versa.
