When people say breakaway civilization do they mean just a cabal of wealthy elites or are they saying a 4th Reich of sorts using the paperclip scientists and some racist industrialists?
The argument that a big motivating factor as to why powers at be are trying to maintain evidence of ET life a secret is because of the religious implications is enough for me to think this is definitely happening. Has anyone considered that they are not people but something else?
