It means that Kirkpatrick is on his way out.
Like him or hate him he had to walk a really fine line. Like most in these programs he probably sees the writing on the wall and that he was being used as a scapegoat.
He was about to retire and they brought him back for this. It was never going to be a permanent thing. My guess is wants to be on the right side of history and will spend the next few months cleaning his reputation up a bit all while alluding to disclosure without really saying it.
This is the same paper reported on by politico and others back in April and was released ( apparently without Kirkpatricks permission, if you believe him ) back in March . )

Many of us , including myself, have cited this paper in the past few months as being proof he literally changed his of point of view on UAP the day he took over the AARO program. And since then become nothing more than a paid pentagon disinformation agent
That is , until 2 days ago, when he surprisingly admitted, that it , it turns out that at least some of Grusch claims are true. ( which he has known all along )
Let’s hope Battelle’s oak ridge national lab management company . Terminates his consulting contact before he even gets started .
It makes no sense whatsoever that they would hire anyone from a high profile government job , who’s well known to the press and has a major online presence.
This is 100% the type of person Battelle would normally never ever consider hiring .
This whole situation around Kirkpatrick , his public behavior and statements , and his new employer is just fucking weird .

It was a theory and the paper wasn’t finished. Don’t act like he actually said that UAPs are probes from an alien mothership.

I take anything Avi Loeb says with a heavy grain of salt. That guy is pretty well known in scientific circles as being a guy that is solely focused on having his name in papers. He has published hundreds of scientific papers consisting of vapid ‘thought experiments’ and unproven conjecture just to catch headlines. Sorry guys, but disclosure is not going to come from Harvard, especially Avi Loeb.
Yea I feel like Kirkpatrick realizes that the general population knows enough now that he can’t keep peddling the «we don’t know what they are» narrative, and he’s probably tired of lieing. Like others have said, he wants to be on the right side of history. So he’s changing his tune real quick.

**Kirkpatrick**: That was the start of that work where we were looking at, if you want to believe these hypotheses, what are the signatures that you would expect to see from that? Because if I don’t see any of those signatures, with any of the data that we see, then that’s not a valid hypothesis. That’s how science works. Right? You have to have a hypothesis. You have to have measurables with that hypothesis, and then your data has to meet it. And you have to lay that out in a peer-reviewed journal so that you have something to pin it against.

I may be delusional but maybe he bought us some time in a good way. I have learned SO much from the community in the past few years, and I imagine I wouldn’t have had this access and community if the “truth” were revealed before we had a solid chance to build up these modern internet-based UAP communities. The stress has gotten so real that it’s oddly acceptable to talk about “aliens” and “UFOs” at work! Personally I’m loving the opportunity to not be called crazy for once. Until recently it felt like a dirty little secret to tell someone you’re interested in anything other than what’s in the high school text books.
