Simply put, they were procured to facilitate David Grusch making his deposition for submission to Congress — that was, at this point, some time back — they’re a specialist firm dealing with DSS Security Clearance issues, with regard to any subsequent action vis-a-vee Mr Gruschs charge against the DoP and his claims they deliberately withheld information to said body, that requires representation from another firm better qualified than Compass Rose.
Here you’re looking at a *criminal* proceedings, he needs a criminal lawyer, not Compass Rose who, as I say, were only procured to facilitate the submission of Grusch’s formal deposition and testimony to committee.
They probably don’t want to be associated with the contents of his complaint since they may even disagree with the notion of aliens etc. They were hired to shepherd the complaint through to the IG’s office.
