The date was 05/17/23. We were traveling on 90E in Ohio near Stony Ridge around 7:30-8 o’clock p.m. When I first saw it I thought it was Venus as it was so bright. Then it flickered, turned red, and vanished, only to pop up on the other side of the highway a minute down the road

Man, these kind of comments is everything that’s wrong with the sub. Instead of saying: “geez OP! That’s a weird looking object flying in the sky, thanks for sharing!” Everyone is berating him for not instantly slamming the breaks in a transited highway possibly causing an accident, pulling a high res profesional camera and shooting a stabilized video for everyone to criticize and cry FAKE! on. Bunch of entitled bricks.
Stuff like this makes me believe the proverbial “disclosure” doesn’t happen not only because society wouldn’t be able to cope with it, but because we don’t deserve it.

I believe what you say but the video doesn’t give us much to go off of given the circumstances. Is there any more footage that could give it more credence and detail?

I assume that you are new here. I saw the video and let me break it down for you —
1) Your video is not the best that we have seen in these parts. However, it is not the worst either. You can sort of make out the object details in the first few seconds. It does not look like an airplane. However, I could be wrong. It clearly looks like you were recording the object while in a moving vehicle. You did your best to capture the object. It is not your fault that you were unable to capture more details. I’d rate this video as a solid 7/10. We have seen way worse stuff on here.
2) Based on the video and your description, it appears that what you witnessed was not a regular flying object like an airplane or a helicopter or a drone. However, it is very difficult for us to pass a clear judgement. A lot of us here believe in UFOs, but even the most ardent believer would struggle to classify this as a true UFO. There is simply not enough information to make a clear determination. Once again, it is not your fault. It is just the way it is. There is no way for us to tell you that this is a genuine UFO sighting unfortunately. Please understand this. We just do not know based on the data in hand. We cannot give you closure on this incident.
3) You would have seen a lot of comments that are almost hostile towards you. They simply belittle you. What we have here is a samaritan who has posted a semi-interesting video of an object in the sky that they want identified. Did you do something wrong? Absolutely not. Please understand that this place is teeming with bad-faith actors who do this each time someone posts a half-decent video in these parts. They belittle you. They say that it is clearly a plane. They call you an idiot indirectly. So on and so forth. If you engage with them and try to make your case, they will drag you into the mud and make you feel small for daring to post an innocuous video. This is their modus operandi. Please stop engaging with such people immediately. Downvote and move on. Some people are genuinely interested in knowing more details. When they ask you neutral questions, reply to them if you can so that we can help you figure out what this could have been.
4) If you really want closure, try posting this video in a local sub of the town/city where this was captured. Since you were on a road during day time, it is very likely that someone else also saw it. DO NOT mention the word ‘UFO’ anywhere in your post. Just provide the necessary details (time, place, location, direction etc) and say that you saw this interesting object in the sky and that you want to know what it is. Ask if someone else also saw it. This is your only hope.
Thanks for sharing the video OP. I wish we could have been of more help to you, but we cannot go further unless we have additional videos captured from different angles.

Please upload the raw image data. This is going to be a massive video file, but this incontrovertibly proves the video isnt doctored. After that, we need to get this to forensics asap to verify no doctoring, and then if the us military denies its not theirs, it needs to go to congress, as well as the various science educators. This is a potential money shot.
