This is not a convincing fake in any way. One glance at those trees and you know it’s AI. What you would need to do is put the alien on a real shot of a desert — much sparser than the one in the photo.

That being said I saw the original and the ‘alien’ is way off. The skin wasn’t scaly it was waxy and veiny. It was less muscular around the shoulders and you could see a lot more of it’s body. It also had an expression to it, something odd that I couldn’t read the intention of, but it was clearly ‘pulling a face’ at the camera. None of the images that this AI has pulled from were the real one. The thing no one seems to get right is the framing. This was a high def photo from (my guess) a cheap digital camera. It wasn’t this close to the alien and it had way more of the sides in a traditional 16:9 ratio.

I’ve posted on this before (please stop DM’ing me about it you don’t have the photo and I’m sure your drawing of your memory is great but really I’ve resigned to the fact that it’s gone) and coincidentally my day job is all graphics related so I feel well positioned to speak on it. The thing I remember most was how fucking terrified I was seeing it. My entire body just got a shiver thinking about it. It FUCKED with me. So much so that I clicked away from it, that I never would have wanted to save it, ever. Something so disgusting to my brain, like nothing I’d ever experienced. There was some sensation, some innate revulsion to seeing it that repelled me entirely. It’s difficult to explain but it was a lot like seeing a spider, I’m so scared I just freeze. And in that frozen state you’re confused because you know it can’t harm you but you feel complete terror, incapable of reaction. That’s the closest thing I could compare it too. Now I’ve been messing with photoshop for 15 years, I’ve played with every AI tool going and, if I wanted to because I was a complete cunt, I could fake a very convincing UFO sighting in After Effects. I say all this because to my knowledge I’ve never seen anything created by CGI/AI/Human Art that has been capable of generating anything close to the biological fear I experienced looking at that photo.

Was it an extremely good hoax that just took advantage of the part of my brain that already believed? Maybe. We certainly can’t rule it out. But if you told me it was real, I’d believe you. If you told me it was a psyop of sorts, some new kind of image designed by the CIA to fuck with 4chan kids, I’d believe you. What I don’t believe is someone put that together digitally using any conventional approaches I know of, and that’s why I don’t sweat any of the fakes/reproductions. Because I know you’d recognize the difference if you actually saw it. One thing I never found out/haven’t looked up — what was at the co-ordinates in the post? After this long I’d expect someone to have been out there to see what’s up..

In the original It wasn’t really scaly like that and he looked…scared? Like almost self conscious. Like he didn’t realize someone was about to take a picture of him.

I’ve seen some images, which was in higher resolution then the images in that Imgur link, and the reptilian’s neck and shoulders looks ridiculous on those in my opinion. I’ve also seen an image without any blur too. The shape of the head wasn’t what I expected when I saw it first time though.

I’ve encountered myself a real reptilian/lizard humanoid during an abduction in March this year. That one and the one from 4chan looks way different to each other, the only similarities is that they walked on two legs and have similar type of skin. The one I met was dark grey meanwhile this one is more dark brownish though.
