I have a healthy interest in UAPs but have been suspicious about Grusch. Something just felt a bit off about him and his claims. I’m keeping an open mind but this announcement makes me question his motives and his credibility.
Man, I’ve basically anchored all of my curiosity on this subject lately to the notion that I believe this guy has nothing to gain from this. This REALLY forces me to take another look at him entirely.
Nonprofit salaries can grow to be huge. HUGE. Lots of variables there but if you’re the president, that’s a lot of potential upside.
I get that the guy needs a job, and no matter what he does now until the day he dies he’s likely to be known as the UFO guy so he may as well lean into it. I get that. But…
What is this nonprofit going to actually do? They don’t have the materials, the government does and they’re classified. They’re not going to get donations of materials. They’re not going to get classified information for the purpose of study.
It will set protocols for grads and undergrads. OK. Once you publish that ONE DOCUMENT… Now what? Meetings and symposia on the subject? We have those. What does this add to the conversation? Is the idea that he’s the new kid on the block with the most solid credentials so he just tries to suck all of the oxygen out of the conversation for himself?
Forget Elizando, Knapp, even Greer, everyone just look to the Grusch Foundation, founded by the guy who knows some guys who claim to know something??
All this announcement does is diminish his credibility. This is WAY too premature without more public disclosure first. I am going to try to withhold judgment until I see this foundation’s mission statement and how he plans to fund it. It’s possible he just thinks this is a natural extension of everything he has tried to do in good faith, but this just feels off.
