Thanks for this OP. I remember as a kid I loved the “nice” alien movies, and always wished this is how it would be.
But these days it just seems like nothing but negative stuff is on here all the time. Grusch saying they aren’t all good, Elizando saying it’s gonna be bad, other whistleblowers saying they don’t even care about us at all. And then there’s all the dark and depressing theories people keep talking about when disclosure happens and we find out the truth. Prison planet, matrix planet, zoo planet, here to kill us all, religion was faked, jimmy carter crying for days, ect ect. It just starts to get to me and I feel like I’m more stressed out instead of excited anymore. I know real life isn’t Hollywood happily ever after, but man I used to dream about how amazing the universe might be, and how aliens all came in peace. But at least seeing this cheers me up and gives me a little hope. So thanks for that. 🙂

Movies like this prime us to consider bigger picture. How intelligent do you need to be to have rights? If a peaceful creature as or more intelligent than humans came to earth, what would be the proper way to treat them? Would they have rights and protections like humans or would they be considered lower animals? It’s an interesting thought experiment.
