Nice find. The appearance of this is 100% camera artifact. The big giveaway is the pure color, and it being solid R, as in the R in RGB. Cameras like this trigger one color-channel at a time. So if you go south-south-west you can find a pure Blue as well, I think what u/1MoarRage was talking about. Presumably there’s a G somewhere in there too but it’ll be hidden by the forest color. If we were to start with the assumption that this is a UFO, the evidence for it is this: An object moving fast enough would be caught by each of the cameras at a different time, meaning three different colored splotches.

Buuuut… that’s not likely.
Depending on the way the sensors work, even if this is just capturing a single channel of color at a time, you should either see it in more in focus, or stretched out. What this looks like to me is dust or sensor error that might also be made worse by processing error. Three colored orbs is pretty much what we expect any number of more normal camera problems to look like. So just as a matter of odds… well, they’re not good. We can also see in the orb I link to above they’re not in a line, suggesting they’re an artifact unrelated to speed. As for why you might find them near the Nazca Lines? Well, people are specifically looking for oddities at that location, so if there’s any artifact anywhere near there of course it will be found.

So in short, cameras are complex, mapping 4d to 2d loses information, and this is very unlikely to be a UFO. Someone with more google earth and camera experience than me might be able to answer what exactly is going on.

They seem like compression artifacts to me.

Great find. Definitely looks like something glowing. It would have to be of notable size and brightness to achieve such effect. How did you come across this? Just randomly looking through the Amazon on google earth?

I don’t see anything on Bing maps, but I agree it’s weird.

Considering there are no such thing as camera artefacts and humans are unable to produce red lights, the only possible conclusion is that this must be aliens from, say, the zeta reticuli system.

It’s a pretty neat idea to use google earth to search inhospitable areas, think I’ll have a go myself!
