Глядя прямо сейчас на Луну, вы видите этот яркий объект, плывущий по темной стороне Луны.

I saw another similar post elsewhere — it seems to be the moon passing over the star Antares
Antares.
It’s the Gao’uld Ra is returning!

It’s a star. Antares. If you have an iPhone, download the app Sky Guide. You’re welcome. 😉
seen this star myself a few hours ago. it did look very peculiar. I recently started getting into astrophotography and have been using an app called Stellarium to identify different stars/planets/objects. This is Antares.
Also — the ‘dark side of the moon’ is its backside — which we can never see from Earth. When it’s waxing/waning (like we see here) I’m not sure what you call the dark part lol
The moon is ‘tidally locked’ with Earth — meaning it’s day (revolution around its own axis) and its «year» (orbit around Earth) are exactly the same length of time. Meaning — the same face is always facing Earth. The face always facing Earth would be a great place to put a telescope — a single telescope can see *almost* the entirety of Earth over time.
That’s one of them motherships.
I saw it too. I don’t think this picture does justice. For the ones saying it’s a star, this light was absolutely on the shadow of the moon. I want to say it’s India, rn but was hoping someone was able to use a telescope.
optical artifact
thought i saw something last night lol..
I SAW THIS TOO! at around 8pm GMT (Colorado, US). Witnessed it for about a minute, it was stationary the whole time, then just faded out. It was extremely bright.
The moon’s moon
There is no dark side of the moon really. As a matter of fact it’s all dark
That’s the cow jumping over the moon.
Well we need more data for sure.
I bet India got some pretty interesting videos right now
India’s space org launched Chandrayaan III and it just landed on the south side of the moon ( first time soft landing in that region at all) on Aug 24. So maybe this is the part that keeps orbiting or the pic was taken before it landed?
This seems extremely large! The moon is over 384 400 km away from earth. If like you say it’s been seen now, this thing is in between the moon and us. You would not be able to see it if it where on the dark side of the moon and landed. I would think a satellite. Was it moving?
it’s swamp gas
Bro I saw that too, no joke. It was red.
The India ship obviously

It’s Saturn.

Star that’s really bright. Nothing out of the ordinary awesomeness.
You do realize there is no dark side of the moon, at least not permanently. Like earth, at any given moment there is a night side and day side, but in the course of orbit the moon will have light all around.
Yeah I saw it too, it is one of the stars from the Scorpio constellation. I saw it go behind the moon.
There’s no stars between the moon and the earth, we would be fuckin dead. It’s far left of the moon.
On space subreddit there are more pictures of this.
No one with a large telescope took some photos?
I heard someone swear it’s a ufo

Well. That’s aliens.

So the star is closer to earth than the moon?
