This is where the Occam’s razor crowd loses me. There’s a mountain of anecdotal evidence to suggest people have: been in contact with, worked with/around, seen, experienced, etc. UFOs or NHIs, and all of that testimony is casually dismissed because…. there isn’t a solid video or picture of the UFO or NHI? So, the «simplest answer» is that everyone who testifies about UFOs and NHIs are lying? That’s the more unbelievable likelihood to me.

Alright… I actually read the book from 1890 and this is what it says:
«At last, when like a rubber ball I had expended all my elastic energy and come to rest, I carefully scrutinized this odd looking couple. They were not more than four feet high, with very large heads, and small bodies and limbs. That portion of the body which contains the principal organs of digestion seemed to be almost entirely awanting, but their chests were more than fairly well developed. For clothing they wore a wrapping of a white silky material, bound closely round the body, and forming a kind of kilt around the upper portions of their limbs. On their feet they had light shoes, and to each ankle was secured a circular weight of considerable size, formed of a metal which looked like newly scraped lead. Each weight was in two pieces, bound together by a silken cord let into a circular recess, near the top. On their heads there was no covering, and the little hair they had was fine in texture, and of a dark brown colour. It formed a slight fringe from the temples round the back of the head, and when viewed from the head behind strongly resembled an egg in a brown-edged egg-cup. Their eyes had a bright, far-seeing look, wistful and dreamy withal, pale grey in colour, and very prominent. There was a sad, thoughtful look on their faces that made me feel that nothing I could say would induce them to laugh. The features were marked, and the skin was clear almost to transparency. Judging from the baldness of their heads and the solemnity of their mien, I would have said they were about seventy years old, but, judging from their limbs and the appearance of their skin, I would have guessed their age at twenty to twenty-five. In fact they were very grave, diminutive, young old men of some new type of humanity unknown to my experience.»
The only thing grey here are the eyes, not the skin. In fact, this description is WAY different form the hairless, naked, large black eyed greys that people usually describe during abductions and in posts like the EBO scientist.
Stop treating wikipedia like the word of god. Check the sources.

Not saying it wasn’t a LARP, but these are all pretty bad reasons to discount it. The scientific POV was the only one that is decent, but I’ve seen just as many posters with high credentials claim the opposite.
On the VPN issue. I won’t elaborate, but I’m very well versed in obfuscation techniques. If I were EBOScientist, I have absolutely nothing to gain by explaining how I obfuscated my tracks. Admitting to using a VPN isn’t an admission that he’s nothing else.
One question for you: how do you explain the shadowbanning that occurred before the account was deleted. /r/aliens mods say they didn’t do it. A Reddit mod must of had to.

Surely I’m not the first to find this, but the book referenced in your Wikipedia source, Meda: a Tale of the Future, is [available on Wikisource](https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Meda:_a_Tale_of_the_Future). I searched every chapter for «grey,» «gray,» and «skin.» The author never describes something that sounds like a Grey alien, to me at least. He describes creatures with fine brown hair, pale grey eyes, and near-transparent skin.

Truth be told i think he was fake. But the details about so called grey aliens are not from the books you think and is a debunked counter argument to greys existence.
Lol if you don’t believe in greys then we all know everything we need to know. We literally have footage of them inside a flying craft where they’re looking out of n observation window. In addition to the alien autopsy video that the CIA believed was indeed authentic and not a hoax. Or the Alien Interview from 1997 that has still not been debunked and whose creature bears a striking similarity to the creatures visible inside the flying craft in the stabilized Turkey UFO footage. Either ignorant or intentionally trying to discredit as part of a disinformation campaign, but I suspect the former.
1. You realize that works of fiction are sometimes inspired by real-life events, right?
2. Not everyone has the twisted psycho desire to be the next Edward Snowden.
3. They said they would obfuscate their background and, they did!
4. Government workers sign oaths and contractors sign NDAs…but one day their life circumstances change, and they become willing to risk the consequences of coming forward in some small way.
People have described entities like this for 1000s of years.
OK, so here’s my point: in order to properly satisfy most skeptics, a whistle-blower would have to put their life on the line to illegally produce the evidence skeptics require. That’s simply not a reasonable ask.
The only way I see disclosure happening is if the GOV wants it or if the whistle-blowers somehow organize. Otherwise, we’re in a never-ending loop of insufficient proof. We’re gonna continue to get anonymous online testimonials until something changes.
