«Im not causing a scene! The UFOs causing a scene!» That kinda sums up a lot about the current situation. This whole scene in the show is a perfect example of how sightings go
> With all due respect, Diane, I’m not a fucking moron. Who doesn’t know the difference between a kite and a spaceship?
It’s obviously stereotypical of the crazy geek and functions well as a parody, but I feel this kind of nails the experience most people have with enthusiasts. It’s often 0-100 within a few minutes, from excitement to rant. Makes it difficult to follow, because you aren’t even picked up at a stage where you can process the information and have a decent conversation — it’s just blasting statements non-stop until people either decide it’s too much or forced into a position where they feel the need to be more defensive than needed.
There is also this assumption that people care about the same things as you, with the same amount of passion, which just isn’t true. We may share the same reality, but we have different views and different priorities.
She said «read the room» and that’s also something that often is ignored. Reading the room isn’t just about knowing when to shut up, it’s *primarily* knowing how to engage with people in the first place and how to communicate something, no matter how excited you are.
Something very similar happened to me and a group of friends a couple of months ago. It was funny AF
SS: Platonic TV show hilarious take on UFO sightings. «did we just see a fucking ufo?!» With Rose Byrne and Seth Rogan in a comedy tv show called «Platonic» is it 150 characters yet?
This reminds me of how I and I’m sure many of you are the types to want to see behind the curtain. Lots of people are comfortable just watching the performance on stage and don’t want to see the behind the scenes and what makes the show work.
Same with life and this subject in particular. Every once and a while I’ll bring this subject up at a party or gathering just to see how people react and it’s usually met with initial curiosity and then moves towards fear as I bring up the various aspects that involve high ranking US officials, pilots, members of congress and bills pertaining to UAP etc.
That’s when I always notice a backing down and even the «this is getting to be a pretty heavy discussion…haha, well any way back to the game…», Of course I immediately laugh with them and back down but I understand where average folk who aren’t into this subject draw a line. For them, It’s almost like they do not want it to be real because it upends everything.
This was nearly my reaction when I saw my first UFO in 2016 in Gautier, MS (next door to Pascagoula). I felt a surge of energy and dopamine. Almost like I was high lol. Every sense was heightened as I was viewing it and after it vanished from my line of sight.
This was great haha. I think we’re all a bit like Seth here sometimes (except I’ve moved on from the part where you get invited to barbecues)
Tbh I can genuinely feel the frustration when he’s told that it was «probably a kite»… Like lady, come on, I’m all for earthly explanations but I’m also not an idiot lol
I’ve been looking for a new show to download, err I mean subscribe to another streaming platform. This looks enjoyable.
This looks like a very good documentary 🙂
This just happened with me and my wife and her family. This is too perfect
Omg this is comedy gold. So incredibly funny.
OP you have a hair on your TV screen and it made me think it was on my screen lol
Commenting to remember to watch later.
Duuude! So ever since that Grusch interview came out I’ve been telling my wife some of the stuff going on with UFOs, UAPs, NHIs, etc. And she just kind of rolls her eyes. I saw a post on here and someone mentioning that all these time travel/multiverse/multidimensional themes from movies and tv have ramped up over the years and the theory about why is to soften the blow when the governemnt does reveal everything which I also told my wife and she again rolls her eyes. My wife and I watched this episode the other night, so when this scene happened, I turned my head to look at my wife and she just kind of tried not to look at me but started laughing. I said to my wife, «See, random scene about a UFO sighting in a normal comedy show we’re watching!» And we just laughed. She just chalked it up to me «being obsessed.» I only tell her something I read on here like every other day. I’m not that bad. And she’s the only one I talk to about it. Anyway, I felt like that scene was just soo random. There was really no reason for it, they could’ve done something different like they saw Leonardo DiCaprio streaking down the street. That would be pretty crazy to see, and if you go inside and tell everyone, they will all think you’re crazy. Instead they chose a UFO sighting. It’s weird to me.
This scene literally what this 1.1M followers sub is in a nutshell.
basically this group in a nutshell.
Pretty much sums up why msm is very cautious with their approach to this topic
This is awesome 😂😂😂
loooool … totally this.
but also very funny 😀
Ooh what can you watch this on?
It’s funny because media paints the witnesses as the outcasts here, but this is definitely changed. If I walked into my group of friends with same reaction after seeing a UAP they’d be sprinting for the door and watching the sky for the next hour
Average experience with «experiencers»…
My favorite is the UFO/abduction scene from Supernatural.
Lol, so relatable.
That little child will grow up and will make of it a life *career* while claiming that what she does is ~~a psychotic obsession derived from her childhood terrors~~ *healthy*
I’ll grant that it’s relatable, but holy fuck man, that has to be the least funniest shit I’ve ever witnessed
