Clip is from July 31, 2018, 10:30PM. We were in the Redwoods in northern CA and staying in an inn on the coastline when everyone started seeing a very bright light over the ocean. It was flashing and moving slowly, but stayed in the same spot, suspended, for about 3 hours. I have photos as well.

I’d really like to know what people think of this. I don’t usually assume lights in the sky are UFOs but the innkeepers had never seen anything like this. It was way too bright in person to be a planet/star and I have an astronomy program that tracks the location of planets, stars, and satellites and it didn’t show anything in the sky in that location. Then we thought it might have been a plane or helicopter, even though this place is very remote, isn’t close to any kind of landing pad/airport, and isn’t in a flight path, but it stayed still too long and didn’t move linearly, it just sort of moved in little circles and flew erratically. It got to the point where dozens of people were standing out on the lawn of this inn looking at it, and I have pictures of that treeline with a spotlight shining towards the object, to make sure it wasn’t something closer than it seemed like a drone, but it obviously wasn’t. Any ideas?
First of all, I’d like to see that same shot from the same angle, in full daylight. That might be helpful for eliminating some possibilities. Second, among all of these witnesses, did nobody have a good pair of binoculars? I don’t know what all of the possibilities are, but almost certainly, this is some terrestrial phenomenon, there really, no evidence to the contrary. We need the daylight shot, to see what, lies where, in the background, that would be the starting point.
How about a flashlight. A frigen candle at least.
I’m from Massachusetts… I live in between an air force base , Navy base which is near a Raytheon, and Lockheed Martin… My back yard is a state funded university with military contracts .. I got to see a lot of theses things being tested on and developed in the skies above me. Chances are it’s the same as I’ve seen. They resemble Starlink leo terminals or are actual Starlink Leo’s that fly much lower than they are told they can…. I’ve watched groups of them line up and float in the sky for hours silently…
Could be anything. It’s definitely a UFO.
