Interesting his name had a bump in mid May.
These terms also have been trending on Twitter under science hashtag
Curious that the first time I made a search for «David Grusch» on Google, when the word got out, the first autocomplete suggestion was already «is lying». WTF was that?
Most of this is me jk
Here is 90 day period, wanted to pander the search terms on Google to see if NewsNation’s coverage of the situation has positively impacted trends. https://i.imgur.com/eoqNOhY.jpg
I know something is getting out there more than before. For the first time I had a guy at work walking asking everyone if they heard that aliens are real.
It’s also worth keeping in mind that the average person on the street really wasn’t Grusch’s target audience here. His target audience is really Congress. And it feels like he’s gotten some attention there as well
Funny I actually just looked it up myself on trends and almost posted something similar. I looked up the term whistleblower, and it spiked in the last couple weeks tremendously with more than double the searches for coming from DC as opposed to anywhere else in the country
Are you thick? The recent coming out of a whistleblower was big news, of course there was a spike in interest. I’ll bet if you check in another month it’ll be back down to average.
Yes absolutely. It takes a lot of people doing a lot of search to make those results jump like that
seeing a spike like this when news comes out is expected: There will always be a bump like this on such a small timescale.
What you need to do to really judge the long-term impact is to select a wider date range, say, 6 months from now, and see if the search rates returned to their pre-story levels. If they remain elevated that far out, then you’ll know an impact was made.
“UFO” is much more popular than UAP. Its biggest bump was during Balloongate in February. Before that, there was a bump for the 2021 report. But the WH (in particular, Kirby) really stole the cake with its “we call them objects for a reason.”
Now add Donald trump or super mario and compare again..
No that’s just all of us googling it 😂
