There are some who think the most precious thing in the universe is the soul, several abductees mentioned that some alien species are interested in our soul.

There are speculations why some of theses aliens could be interested in our soul: it could have to do with timelines, collective consciousness and because some alien species do not have a soul (they are more AI).

Other abductees mention they could be interested in us for cross breeding. Many abductees have stories that they have seen their «star child» (a child that was created with the DNA of an abductee and that of alien species).

Who knows…

I would go further than that. I would say life capable of understanding its nature.

We have a fairly unique ability as humans — we have the capacity to abstract our worlds and in the process we can imagine the future.

No other animal on this planet is capable of this feat and it is important for one reason — it’s the thing that give us our capability to go beyond the natural bounds set for us by our environment.

Taken from a systemic perspective — taken from the perspective of the evolution of consciousness — the evolution of the awareness of a perceiver — it is the capability that allows us to ultimately evolve into something much more than what we are.

Evolution is not — cannot be merely a physical process. It must be occuring at all levels, because all levels participate in life.

So evolution is likely to extend far outside the bounds of mere organismic activity and into a directed, conscious process where evolution becomes intentional and the transformations of species and self occur in mind.

Being a conscious process, it must be chosen. I suspect there are times when such choices are easier than others to make, both collectively and individually, and suspect that we are in exactly such a time and everyone is coming to watch the show. I would.

I totally agree with you. I think that they are watching us kill our planet, and just studying it.

If they can traverse the universe, I doubt they’d need to make this many trips. Even a handful of samples they’d be able to reproduce life here. I could see them try to stop us from destroying our own planet.

The goldilocks planets are “potentially” habitable by humans and other Terra lifeforms. Our theorists and scientists assume those are the only planets that can host life because they’ve barely considered that just *maybe* not everything revolves around us and that there quite possibly are other life forms that don’t require an oxygen/nitrogen atmosphere

I had a similar thought to yours, OP, that if they are here, they are cataloguing for the encyclopaedia Galactica (I did not come up with this phrase, I think Carl Sagan did??). Not necessarily preserving samples, but just monitoring our formation and progression, among every other emerging planet as one small data point in a collective whole. If this was the case the information would be so wild to have access to. Who knows what the statistics on burgeoning life and techno-civilisations are? Maybe it’s all carbon based with very little variety in terms of what nucleobases and amino acids can be used to make functional globulins?

So many ways the statistics could present itself, and perhaps there’s no one out there who is directly concerned for us at all, just the datapoint we can be when they crunch their analyses on how the universe works… this would make sense that unmanned probes would be essentially all that is ever sent our way.

That could be the case for certain alien civilizations, indifferent to our natural evolution and life on earth. I do believe we were hybridized/genetically altered at some point in our evolution to gain super intelligence…. you dont see a dog or a chimpanzee building skyscrapers. What would be the motivating factor to do that? I do believe benevolent entities exist out there, have been watching us and waiting for us to reach a level of evolutionary maturity to make contact.

I’m in agreement on the entire theory, and it’s what I believe as well. You can expand on this, as the advanced civilizations that are aware of and have visited Earth are numerous. While some may be indifferent to us personally and are just here for the data, others will be deeply interested in humans in particular.

I’ve always felt that we are likely the only species in the entire galaxy that is at this exact moment of technological advancement. Knowledge and technology is accelerating at a blistering pace compared to all of human history, and we are officially able to completely annihilate our own selves entirely. This is a worrying moment for every single empathetic civilization that is aware of Earth, and our peril. And they exist, and are also waiting for us to grow and reach them.

You’re assuming there’s only one collective group of «aliens». There are likely multiple species with different agendas. What you described sounds like behavior that’d be typically associated with Greys. «study, but otherwise ignore».
