Ross also said that the hearings might not happen until September now. That was very disappointing for me. It also makes me a little nervous that they won’t happen at all.
Interesting to hear the discussion at the end regarding bipartisanship, and how it seems that Democrats aren’t being as vocal about this as Republicans. I believe it’s really important that this supported from both parties, and yes many exist that are reaching across the aisle.
I fear that the increasing discourse of Republicans surrounding this — from less than reputable sources (journalists such as Carlson, and politicians like Gaetz) — is what is putting some off.
The reality is we are fresh off the back of one of the most successful disinformation campaigns in history, which resulted in an insurrection that many Republicans did little to prevent.
We are moving in the right direction, but personally I cannot endorse the subject to people in my circle and confidently use controversial sources of information. Thankfully, the movement is beginning to become embraced by academics, and individuals with a lot more weight such as Loeb and Nolan.
In this episode, Ross and Bryce reflect on the many interesting things that have happened in the past few months. They also talk about the new language that Gilibrand and Rubio are working on. Great listening to them as always.
