“David Grusch testified to Congress in December 2022 at the Top Secret / Sensitive Comparted Information (TS/SCI) Level.
In HSPCI, *20* staffers, committee lawyers, Grusch, and an IG rep were present, no elected reps.
Staffers took notes while Grusch testified for *4 hours*.
In SSCI, Grusch testified for *over 8 hours* with the IG rep, a court reporter, and 2 committee lawyers (5 people). Senate staffers were not permitted to attend.
The two Senate committee attorneys *locked the room down so other Senate staffers could not attend*.
There are *25 people* that participated in the classified briefing with Grusch in December 2022.

«On the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, while no congressmen attended the briefing, over twenty congressional staffers, committee lawyers, Grusch and the Inspector General representative, were present. With their classified laptops, these staffers took notes while David Grusch testified for four hours.
«Now, things were different at the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and this is important. Grusch testified for over eight hours. Who was in the room for Grusch’s eight-hour testimony in December? Grusch, the Inspector General representative, a court reporter, and two committee lawyers. That’s it. Five people. Where were the Senate staffers? They were not permitted to attend. Think about it: On the House side, you had over twenty people in a SCIF. And on the Senate side? Five.»

Now, maybe only having committee attorneys present is a method of protecting the senators and their staff? I’m sure it gives them some form of plausible deniability. But, with a case of this magnitude, a case with information classified at the Top Secret SCI level, a case where the whistleblower has been the recipient of administrative terrorism and witness intimidation by the Pentagon and Intelligence Community, a case where the Inspector General has classified the case as urgent and credible…and the Senate decides to send two lawyers and that’s it? That’s ridiculous!»

It’s explicitly stated in the Debrief Fact Checking Q&A. It’s due to whistleblower protocols. Congress can not interact directly with a whistleblower involved in an ongoing IG complaint, only the General Counsel (lawyers) of the respective committees of intelligence.
Great summary and explanation about the undermining of democracy. Everyone’s fixated on the aliens, but it’s driving me bonkers that not enough talk is going on about how these agencies run under executive orders, making them difficult to control without passing legislation.

Elected officials sleeping on the job.
Over 25 people heard Grusch claims and saw the evidence and 0 have said a word in the media. Meanwhile we have a bunch of clueless reps on the news saying absolutely nothing. This is not the time to play dumb. If we want this to move forward fast we need the media (sadly) and we need some of those 25 people to speak up, cmon!

I’m going to be honest; I’d be concerned if some of those senators or representatives can be trusted with this kind of information. I’m kinda glad they’re kept out if it. Some of them as far as I’m concerned are possibly enemy assets.
Wild stuff. We have to trust that A). The two Senate Select Committee lawyers are not bought and paid for, and/or B). That we are able to motivate our Senators on the committee to actually find out what was presented. With all that Grusch has done, I still think success is a long shot given our system’s fetish for secrecy and tendency to reward soft corruption.
All the people in the hearing could be unknowingly be part of the secret illegal military government. This is a RECO case. Organized crime at the highest level! Who are you gonna go to? the cops ?
If congress found his claims credible wouldn’t they have done something by now?
