Phosphine is a byproduct of anaerobic bacteria and can produce an extremely strong smell similar to sulphur. If alien life adapted in low-oxygen environment, they may have this strong smell as a byproduct of the biological processes its going through.

There are also some nice theories around sulfur based lifeforms, in contrast to us, carbon based ones. However they would die in our oxygen atmosphere, so they would need some protection gear.

You need to read John Keel’s book The Eighth Tower because he dedicates a good chunk of a chapter to exactly this. I’d do a disservice to summarize it, but he essentially believes that it’s a byproduct of the process utilized by a higher dimensional entities to manifest things in our consciousness spectrum.

Sulfur smell is gonna get a lot of believers of demons all riled up. I dont get why demons need a ship or need to run from a crash site though.
Venus and Mars both have been shown to house sulfuric acid so wouldn’t this theory make sense. We drink water it has no smell but what if outer earth beings came these places they would surely have a smell.
In many cultured across the globe the smell of Sulphur has been considered to indicate the presence of demons, evil spirits or sometimes even good spirits. I wonder if they were actually in contact with alien beings in some cases

I think the Men in Black have been associated with that smell. You should check out The Mothman Prophecies by John Keel, the book, not the movie. He thought that all kinds of paranormal phenomena were the same thing (he thought interdimensional) appearing in different ways.
Story Time: I was probably 8-9 years old sleeping in my Grandparents basement with my mom. I woke up smelling matches and thought something was on fire. I left one of the lights on in the finished basement and noticed a jawa looking creature (i hadn’t seen starwars yet) by one of the pillars in the basement. I was about my height, and it had a hood that I couldn’t see into. I tried to wake my mom in the bed and couldn’t.
I screamed — and went upstairs, and both my grandparents bolted upright and ran downstairs because of the smell.
Nothing was there — but my grandma seemed suspect as she knew evil spirits were associated with that smell.
It’s hard to escape the association between sulfur and demons. I have no idea if that connection is accurate but I would imagine a lot of people make that connection right away.

I have also heard many accounts say there was an ammonia smell associated with EBE’s.
The bigfoots are likely also alien — there was a report of the grays using the gray body for certain purposes but having other forms as necessary. Its probable that they use the smaller gray forms for less intimidating jobs and the Sasquatch form for other times.
Silicon based life forms though — think thats why they smell, their skin must have some kind of interaction with sulfur.

I think it must be the planet they come from and the biological make-up of these creatures. There’s a possibility we smell awful to them as well…they are smart, but their smell doesn’t bother themselves. They’re not worried about it. Think about it like this: do we care how we smell to a rabbit, or a fish? They’re not worried about perfuming up for us, and they might find the rotten egg smell attractive to each other..who knows???

Sulfur could indicate a substance that is causing hallucinations. Like leaking gas.

What I find interesting is that people who suffer from demonic possession or experience demonic entities also report the smell of sulfur. I’m curious if there is overlap between aliens and religion. That somehow Jesus/God/demons are actually aliens. For example Jesus physically ascending to heaven (abduction type ascension), or resurrecting (advanced medical treatments), virgin Mary artificially inseminated.
Phantosmia is a common occurrence during radiation therapy for intracranial and head & neck tumors. And it’s not a chronic thing, it usually happens only in the presence of the radiation beam. There are many unpleasant olfactory hallucinations, among them foul and ammonia like odors.
So it might not be the smell of Bigfoot’s anaerobic dick, but rather acute radiation poisoning due to proximity to an exotic energy source.
And yes, visual and auditory hallucinations are also common.
