  1. This was posted in local Hawaii page, I saw this and was gonna share it on the sub but of course you guys already were on it! Anyway here’s the copy/paste:

“Yesterday morning I was flying with a student pilot.
Not long after we took off from Hilo, the Departure Controller called us and the other aircraft near Hilo to tell us that the the Honolulu Control Facility had just told them that there was a military operation over the Big Island and all civilian aircraft were to remain off shore until further notice. The controller had no other information about it.
About 20 minutes later an F-22 declared an emergency and was given landing instructions. The F-22 was transmitting on UHF so we couldn’t hear what the pilot was saying on our VHF radio, but we could hear the controller on VHF (Air Traffic Control transmits on both UHF and VHF simultaneously). The controller never repeated back what the emergency problem was so I don’t know what it was.
An inbound TransAir Shorts 360 cargo plane and Hawaiian 717 were told the airport was closed due to the emergency and told to hold about 10 and 20 miles north of the airport respectively.
After the F-22 landed, they were told to continue toward the airport. Then a second F-22 declared an emergency for low fuel (per what the controller repeated back to the F-22 pilot that we could hear on VHF) and everyone had to hold again. After the second F-22 landed, the Transair and Hawaiian planes landed.
We landed about 20 minutes later. As we taxied in I asked the tower controller if they had any more information about what was happening. He said they didn’t.
1 checked the Hawaii News Now and Hawaii Tribune Herald websites and they had no mention of anything about these events.”

  2. Fighter jets go a little fast and high to be searching for a single man in the ocean, don’t you think? Also, asking for a camera, not search/rescue gear seems unlikely that this was about searching for the Australian 3 days after he went in the water. I know this is r/aliens, but we can do better on the debunking. Maybe an enemy craft in our airspace, for example.

  3. I’m Australian and an Aussie man threw himself over from a cruise ship after his wife died from having a «mental» episode. That’s strange enough

The American coast guard was called into search for him for the last 2 days and the search was called off

This was 100s of KMs south of Hawaii
