Although not an OG FOIA’d document and probably faked, I just got through Donald Keyhoe’s book and I do believe that in the Mantell disaster that this mentions in 1948, they blasted him outta the air; the official explanation that they stuck to is he was chasing Venus, in the daytime, at half it’s brightest and not what he radio’d back, «a tremendous sized metallic object»…and then blacked out at 20-25k ft, autoflew to 30,000ft and his ship disintegrated in our atmosphere from the fall to the Earth. I feel like it wouldn’t vaporize from that fall right? There’d be wreckage. So who knows, they probably been blowing our shit up that gets too close sometimes and we never hear about it.
